This Zinfandel comes from a steep hillside vineyard in Dry Creek Valley with a West-facing slope. The vines are planted in a mineral-rich, brick red soil and this complexity is showcased in the wine.
Tasting Notes
2018 was a great year for Dry Creek Zinfandel and this wine is a good showcase for that. The wine demonstrates rustic flavors of blackberry, black raspberry, strawberry jam and fresh, ripe boysenberries are complemented by hints of floral notes and spices. The palate is soft and supple and screams dark fruit from start to finish. A nice acidity refreshes the palate before the next sip.
